Family Garden Initiative

By on Apr 9, 2016 in Ministry |

Today teams of volunteers from all over our community came together and helped families in need plant their own sustainable vegetable gardens.  Mission Marshall partnered with Alex Marks Family Garden Initiative. This faith based outreach allows and facilitates families in poverty or need to plant and sustain a simple and functional vegetable and herb gardens.   The unique and mobile sock gardens allow for easy transport and quick access to water, grow and harvest.  Since everything is included in the kits the families aren’t having to hunt or search for items to finish their project!  From watering cans to soil, seeds, instructions and even a quick recipe guide!   Thanks to so many community volunteers!
